Say hello to Mark & Emma, (Marks the one who looks like Clark Gable), They had a wonderful wedding at Shooters Hill Golf Club in South East London on the 3rd October 2014.
Normally I would try to get a blog post written up from a wedding within a couple of weeks of a wedding but business has been so hectic in the last couple of months with editing, new bookings, print & album orders, social media & internet marketing, new website launch etc. etc that even finding the time to write posts is becoming impossible, but do or die being the saying……
Anyway Mark & Emma
The weather was great, sunny & warm & for an October unusually warm which is always a plus point, “Indian summer”.
Proceedings started at Bexley registry office, I’m not usually a fan of registry offices in main towns as they can be too modern & wedding photographically unfriendly but this one was the exception, Georgian with all original fittings and to be honest as good as any top wedding venue.
Back to Shooters Hill Golf Club, group and couples shots, wedding breakfast done, speeches finished then the dead time when everyone mingles relaxes and generally drink a lot, a good time to get some off-camera flash images.
I had tried to time with the end of the speeches and the going down of the sun to get shots overlooking Essex & Kent which is stunning on a decent evening but damn! missed it, speeches overran. Never say never, got some cracking shots & if it had just been a few minutes earlier the setting of the sun!.
The evening wore on and soon it’s time for the evening 1st dance, slow and moving & very romantic and Emma’s dance with her dad really gave the whole day a fantastic feel to the day.
I have done several weddings at Shooters Hill Golf Club & they have all been superb so hopefully, a lot more to come over the next few years….till next time
