Richard KinsleyWedding Photographer

Photojournalistic

I will follow your day as it unfolds and match it with some of my styles of wedding photography. The moments will happen naturally, real moments, no posing. As a skilled wedding photographer, I will be in the thick of the action, capturing those real moments as they happen.

With my experience as a wedding photographer in Essex, I have covered hundreds of weddings in the Essex region.

I really enjoy Anticipating the next moment before it happens. The look on the bride’s face as she walks down the aisle.

The nervousness of the hubby to be, tears in mum’s eyes, these are all images waiting to be captured.

I will be 30 seconds ahead of you capturing the next spontaneous shot.

Apart from the group shots and your portrait shots, I will keep the day flowing smoothly.

Love, Laughter, smiles and fun, that’s what it’s all about.

Illustrative Wedding photography

This is my go-to style for most of my portrait shots when doing your couple shots after your group shots when not in photojournalistic mode.

A blend of traditional and portraiture. With the emphasis on place, you two, the bride and groom in the centre of the images.

Then compose the background and lighting around you with natural light and artificial off-camera flash.

At angles gives a more pleasing natural look to the picture.

I love a wedding day and the challenges it presents.

Getting to know a couple on their wedding day, their quirks, likes and dislikes.

The first look when Dad sees you in your dress for the first time.

They walk down the aisle with Dad’s arm in arm.

The emotion when your husband-to-be sees you looking beautiful in your wedding dress.

The look of love on his face shocked at how beautiful you look.

Rembrandt lighting

In professional terms, we call it Rembrandt lighting.

Have you ever watched a movie and noticed that the characters have a shadow on one side of their face?.

Punchy and dramatic almost adding another dimension to otherwise boring facial features.

This is Rembrandt lighting, Will use this style of lighting either from Natural light or flash to achieve the same result.

The advantage of this style of image is that I can control the technical artistry of the surroundings to create a nice more dramatic moody feel to your photo’s.

Most couples like to be directed in a way that will flatter their photographs, through the use of professional lighting and lovely backgrounds.

And with time create emotional creative images that you will adore for a lifetime of memories.

These are all emotions that I as a skilled wedding photographer with many years of experience will capture on your wedding day, through the use of my journalistic and illustrative approach.
