High house Althorne wedding venue
Wow, what a wedding venue. High house Althorn must be about the perfect wedding venue. Set in the rolling Essex countryside.
off the beaten track and close to the towns of Southminster and Burnham on crouch.
This wedding venue has everything going for it. With so many exciting views for the perfect wedding photos.
As a wedding photographer in Essex. This is one of my favorite wedding venues.
Bridal suite
Set back within the grounds of the high house are the bridal suite and prep room. A comfortable room, able to accommodate the bride and several bridesmaids.
Lots of mirrors for viewing the wedding and bridesmaids’ dresses and angles for the ever-important makeup and hairdressing.
The best part of the bridal suite must be the swimming pool and garden. Few bridal suites offer this and are a unique benefit. The garden is lush and well-manicured. Within a stone’s throw of the main wedding venue yet private away from prying eyes. Relax in the garden, a dip in the pool before your big day.
Georgian rustic barn
A beautiful rustic barn.
Decorated with paper lanterns make this wedding barn is different from all the others I have filmed at.
The barn can accommodate over a hundred guests seated.
although can be a little cramped once seated and for the Bride and dad walking down the aisle a little narrow.
The grounds at High house Althorne
This is where High house Althorne stands out. The grounds are the topping on the cake.
The stable courtyard with its permanent sunshades on a hot summer’s day whilst drinking cocktails.
Drinking champagne and celebrating the wedding.
The pond with its unique bridge great for romantic shots of the wedding couple.
Reflection in the water or even dusk shot with the stars in the background.
The large meadow for the big group shot. Laid lawns and gardens to relax in.
Plenty of seating for guests and friends.
Vineyard at high house
Now, this is an enjoyable experience on any wedding list.
Get the vines at the right time of year, walking in the vines on a summer’s evening with an orange sunset. What more can anyone ask of a wedding venue?
A minute’s walk from the vineyard. The heart-shaped lake, a boat, some swans, and Geese
The perfect backdrop for the sunset kiss
The marquee
Now it’s party! Time. Well, a first dance first then it’s party time.
The best pictures of all
Conclusion
High house at Althorne really is the perfect wedding venue. Everything falls into place perfectly.
Everything is here for lots of image variety.
Are there any faults with high house, not really. All parts of the venue are within a minute’s walk of each other.
The staff and wedding planner are extremely helpful and the catering is some of the best I’ve tasted at a wedding venue.
The quality of the food I normally gauge the quality of the canapes and the canapes at this wedding venue is out of this world.
Value for money this venue is superb and a lot cheaper than a lot of other wedding venues in the area
Oh! and it has a decent car park.
